Need to know: quiet, good value, tourist center with nursery slopes and gentle sledging at village level. It is attached to the ski snowboarding resorts of the Three Valleys, parents can get off at any time suitable skiing, but since it is also below the tree line, the duty of the parents can take children to activities such and woodland walks.

Good for: a quiet holiday. Loving the French tradition villa are not big fans of architecture, so Flaine may be quieter than I expected in the village and on the slopes.
Bonus: One of the closest resorts to Geneva, making it easier to transfer than usual.
3. Moorhen, Austria
Need to know: to 630m, Moorhen is low, but three spectacular gondola that takes you up the slopes on either side of the valley. Beginners will appreciate the gentle slopes of the Aaron mountain. The other mountain Penmen is ideal for intermediates, with a variety of red runs, and a valley called Adaptable dotted with great cafes.
Good for: Get by road or rail from the environment budget airline Salisbury and Munich. Once in the city, there is a wide range of accommodation at a decent price, and supermarkets for self-catering or picnic lovers. Coffee shops for a family fun non-skiing or grandfather too.

4. Avoriaz, France
What you should know: Specially designed car, built on the cliffs, Avoriaz is attached to the huge Porters du Soil offers 650 km of slopes, half in France and half in Switzerland. Accommodation is self-catering apartments most with blocks at the foot of the slopes led by the major operators.
